Stone Island first opened it's doors on the 25th of April 1998.  Over the past decade it's had several different owners but the processes, policies and quality standards have never changed.  We pride ourselves on focussing on what really counts in our profession, and that's you; our clients. 

With you in mind we have spent the last 12 months planning and construction a beautiful new salon.  There's a feeling of light, space and energy as you walk through with contemporary furniture that is comfortable and inviting.  We are in a complex which also boasts a Mantra hotel, Endota Day Spa, Nail Bar and East West Restaurant.

As Darwin is such a transient city we've also had many great stylists work with us, however we also have a very high retention rate with our staff (some staying upwards of 5 years) and it's a priority for management to always be communicating and listening to our team. 

As highly trained and skilled Salon Professionals we want you to be super-pleased, in fact absolutely delighted with everything we do.  So we stand behind every service 100%.

What does that mean?  Simply this:  If you aren't happy with anything we've done, we'll touch up or change whatever you don't like for FREE.  It's your choice.  Many salons don't guarantee their work; but we do.  Nothing is more important than your complete and total satisfaction.

We are always looking for Senior Stylists to join our team.  We look for qualified hairdressers with a passion for the industry, great presentation, enthusiasm and talent.  Please drop in your resume and fill in an application form!

We consider ourselves a training environment and one of our goals for 2010 is to build a solid and supportive Apprentice Team.  Our team consists of Full Time adult age apprentices and School Based teenage apprentices.  If you are interested in a career in hairdressing be it full time or while you're still at school, please do not hesitate to contact us or drop in a resume.
